There will be available a Five Pound Proof Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Coin limited to 75,000 coins.  The obverse has the ‘matron’ Queen Elizabeth’s bust with crown and robes, and the reverse has the bust of the ‘young’ Queen.  The Five Pound Proof Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Coin is 28.28 grams of 92.5% sterling silver and 38.61 millimeters in diameter.  There will be 12,500 of these in a gold plated Proof version also available and a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Head of Armed Forces Silver Proof limited to 40,000 coins.

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Royal Ascot Cook Islands Silver Proof is 31.135 grams of 99.9% fine silver, is 40.60 millimeters in diameter, and is limited to 40,000.  The Queen is also depicted on her thrown on a 5 troy ounce ten pound Proof silver bullion coin of 99.9% fine silver.  This 65.00 millimeter diameter silver coin is limited to 1952 pieces, which is the year of the Queen’s Carnation.  All of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Proof silver bullion coins come in a presentation box and with a certificate.  There are also four impressive box sets of Queen’s Diamond Jubilee silver coins ranging from three to twenty-four.

Great Britain’s Royal Mint Silver Bullion commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Titanic is a five pound 92.5% sterling silver Proof coin weighing 28.28 grams and 38.61 millimeters in diameter.  This issue is limited to 7,500 pieces and comes in a presentation box with certificate.  It also is being released with a commemorative cover which is limited to 1,912 as in the year of the Titanic.

London’s hosting the 2012 Olympic Games has inspired several coins and designs.  There are the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic.  These are two different five pound Proof designs which are 92.5% sterling silver weighing 28.28 grams and 38.61 millimeters in diameter, with double thick counter parts labeled “piedfort’ which weigh 38.61 grams.  The “Olympic” also has a gold plated issue.  There is a limited issue London 2012 UK Five Troy Ounce Proof Coin which is 99.9% fine silver and 65.00 millimeters in diameter.  Only 7,500 are available of these.
